SPRING GREEN LIVING ROOM ADDITION

General Contractor:  Feiner Building Spring Green Wisconsin

This addition to my own home, a 1930’s era Dutch Colonial, was designed to create a more welcoming entry and a larger living room with views to the back yard.

The new bank of south-facing windows lets in ample light and heat during the winter months, making the room sunny and cozy.  The warmth from the sun, in addition to the new high-efficiency wood-burning stove, reduces the amount of time that the furnace must operate.

Light decks, a cathedral ceiling and the use of trim give the room a human scale and pleasing proportions.  Outside, the relationship of the addition to the detached garage creates a private backyard patio.
