CURRENT PROJECT - BOSCOBEL HILLSIDE HOME
The inspiration for this home came from Motif Number 1, a former fishing shack in Rockport Massachusetts which according to Wikipedia is "the most often-painted building in America". My clients requested a home similar in style to Motif Number 1. The Boscobel home emulates the rooflines, scale, vertical siding and simplicity of the Motif building. The home has been adapted to its hillside site by adding a walkout basement which contains a workshop and guest bedroom. The main level of the house contains a great room with vaulted ceiling, bedroom, laundry and screen porch. The main level was designed to be handicap accessible and includes a barrier-free shower in the bathroom. The upper level includes an additional bedroom and bathroom. |
