Although the mudroom addition is small, at only 72 square feet, it will have a large impact on circulation into and through the house. Previously, the "family" entry into the house was a door located at the top of the basement stair, with only a 3' x 3' space in which to enter and no place in which to hang coats. The addition provides a sunny 10' x 16' transition space for entry and storage of coats, boots, etc. As part of the project, walls at the top of the basement stair have been shortened to create a more open feel between the kitchen and future office, and make it easier to brings things into and out of the basement.
The general contractor for this project is A-Team Construction Unlimited, Inc. of Madison.
